A Comparison of Athletes and Non-Athletes at Highly Selective Colleges: Academic Performance and Personal Development

The authors study student-athletes at a highly selective liberal arts college and an Ivy League university over a 4-year period. Findings regarding entering academic profiles, academic performance, engagement in the life of the college, and alcohol usage are discussed.
